PAPERBOARD PACKAGING FOR ICE CREAM

Features

At Interpack, we developed the market’s first biodegradable ice cream tub, with 100% customizable full-color printing. This container was created as a sustainable and functional alternative that preserves product quality, reduces environmental impact, and optimizes storage space at the point of sale.

Our paperboard packaging line for ice cream shops replaces expanded polystyrene, offering a sustainable, recyclable option that is biodegradable in under 18 months, in line with global responsible-consumption trends.

To ensure optimal performance without using plastic laminates, we incorporate moisture- and grease-resistant barriers into the ice cream tub that maintain the ice cream’s creaminess and flavor, preserving the integrity of the packaging during cold storage.

In addition, the ability to print the entire container in full color turns the packaging into a powerful branding tool, expanding brand communication opportunities and strengthening the connection with the consumer from the first touchpoint.

All the materials we use come from responsibly managed sources, with FSC® and PEFC certifications, and our plant is FSSC 22000 certified, ensuring the manufacture of packaging that is safe for direct contact with food.

Uses and applications

Packaging designed for artisanal ice cream shops, ice cream chains, food trucks, cafés, dessert delivery, and brands looking to reduce the use of plastic packaging through an innovative, functional solution that is unique in its category.

We also offer a complementary line of biodegradable paperboard spoons and cups, as well as industrial versions for holding large product volumes.
