ABOUT US
HZ Group
A Regional Group with
75 Years in the Industry
Our story began with the dream of an entrepreneur, Herman Zupan, a passionate graphic arts professional who, after arriving from his native Slovenia, started in 1950 with a small print shop in Buenos Aires. Inspired by European know-how, he introduced processes and technologies that were unprecedented in the country, laying the foundations for what would later become HZ Group, one of Latin America’s leading industrial groups.
In 1958, his forward-thinking vision identified the need for packaging in local grocery stores, giving rise to Interpack and laying the foundations for what would later become a leading packaging business group.
About HZ Group

HZ Group has a broad and diversified structure of Business Units, providing its companies with strength and support:

Business diversification positions us and enables us to access a broader range of markets, as well as to participate in international packaging organizations such as IPG and IFPN, which allows us to access cutting-edge ideas and global best management practices.
One of HZ Group’s key differentiators is its integrated production model, which enables its companies to work in a coordinated manner, sharing knowledge and generating synergies. In this context, Interpack is vertically integrated with Papelera del Sur, the only manufacturer of coated recycled paperboard in Argentina. This integration ensures supply with locally sourced raw materials, full process traceability, and a lower environmental impact, thereby strengthening our commitment to sustainable packaging.
